Froggy had her CF Clinic Appointment Friday. She weighs 37 pounds, is 108 cm. And despite a nasty cold was still 100% on her PFT's. Her smaller airways were only 93% but that's to be expected with her cold. She's in the 25th percentile for weight and 50th percentile for height. The nutritionist thinks she should have gained more weight, so we're switching her formula to one where the proteins are already broken down so her body has to do less work.
Her bloodwork was a-okay! We're just waiting to hear about her sputum culture. So far, no pseudomonas! Woo Hoo! Tomorrow we'll know more. Night night.

It's good to hear Froggy's report. I'll be interested to see how Ella does when she starts those.
Gaining weight is so hard for Ella. She's in pre-K now, and the teachers are working with David and Sabrina to monitor her eating (to make sure she does.) She would rather talk and play than eat. She has gained a couple of pounds recently, but she has a way to go to get to that 25th percentile.
Hooray for Froggy. That strange malady that Ella had passed with the aid of predinisone, and I guess it just worked its way out of her system....thankfully!

Hopefully the new formula packs some more pounds on. I'm glad to hear how well she's growing though. Our doctor tells us the taller our kiddos get, the bigger lungs they'll have!
