Carl Sandburg

This is one of my favorite poems.

FOG

The fog comes
on little cat feet.

It sits looking
over harbor and city
on silent haunches
and then moves on.

Froggyaunt - a great quote about procrastination is, "The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese."

I don't like it. It's dull. I prefer John Donne, Siegfried Sassoon, Wilfred Owen or William Blake. Or Shakespeare.

Thanks for your opinion, but I don't think it's dull at all. It's simple and beautiful and perfectly describes how fog creeps up on the morning. And William Blake isn't boring? "Little Lamb, Little Lamb, who made thee, dost thou know who made thee?" Snooze.

Oh nobody counts the 'songs of innocence'. They ARE dull. Try Songs of Experience or Jerusalem.
