I'm not kidding. I just saw two cops chasing someone down our street, guns drawn. And then, seconds later, sirens.
In the last few years we've had two deadly shootings and one deadly stabbing on our street. Woo Hoo Los Angeles!!! I'm ready to move.
Right now, about twenty minutes later, I'm looking out the window to drug sniffing dogs and cops. Come on.

I can't speak from experience on the guns part, but as for the drug-sniffing dogs .... if they were on our street, in HOLLAND, those dogs would go into overdrive. For those Dutchies who feel the need to be extra Dutch, I see them smoking while riding their bikes. And I'm not talking Marlboros and Harleys.

Hey, you sound like you live in my neighborhood! We're on the tourist area of town, so it's GREAT in the spring and summer, but after that some pretty sketchy people move in. I've had to call the cops 5 times since we moved here a year ago. Ridiculous! The best was when I saw a car get pulled over by a HORSE COP a few months back. Classic! :)
ai ai ai...in our part of town there is a town hall meeting going on - led by our councilman...turns out there have been 9 assults in the last week. ergh! jcn
justin works in culver city, and there was a shooting down the street from him yesterday also. yikes!
