First Day of Preschool

After a week of excited talk about preschool...Froggy sobbed the entire car ride to school. Before we left the house, I had to dress her three times because she kept taking off her clothes and hiding under a pillow in her bedroom.

The second we walked through the gate, she forgot all about her fear. She started playing and the teachers hurriedly got the kiddos involved in circle time, so they wouldn't concentrate on the parents leaving. I thought it might be harder than it was. But I love her new preschool and the woman who runs it. It's a cozy, happy, loving place and a perfect beginning to school.

When FD and I picked her up, she strolled out of the gate with a happy confidence I've never seen. After two hours of school, she grew a year. Wow, our tadpole is a big frog now.

Our Little Cub is pretty much the same at new experiences .... violently resistant at first, and then jubilant after living through it once. What an exciting milestone, for all of you!

Congrats, Froggy!

She LOOKS like a big frog now! She grew overnight! So glad you both handled the first day of school well. :)

Yours is the second blogpost I've read about little ones going to pre-school. It is certainly a milestone, isn't it. I couldn't believe how grown up she has become in the last little while.

Yea! How exciting! She's getting to be such a big girl and bet she just loves playing with the other kids. Imagine it was just something different, a change.

I'm on week two of having a kindergartener (all day) in our house. He's pretty nonchalant about the whole thing. Doesn't say much at all about it.

Awwww! What a bittersweet moment in time. Isn't it great though when you pick them up and they are full of joy and happiness? Love that part!
