More Fires

This is the air in Los Angeles right now. Fires are burning from Orange County to Montecito. Yesterday it was raining ash in our neighborhood, and we are over 20 miles away from the closest fire.

Froggy and I packed up and are staying at Grandma and Grandpa's until things improve. They have air conditioning, and we're staying indoors. Even though they are closer to the fires, the air quality is better -- the smoke blew towards the coast, and has settled above us. Hopefully the fires will be contained soon.

I saw this on the news and wondered how you guys were doing. Great timing, huh? You just get fantastic news about Froggy's medical results, and then have to run away just so the world can let her healthy little lungs breathe.

I hope you get to enjoy the change of scenery, and we're sending our most positive mojo that the fires end soon.

It makes me SO sad to see that CA is burning again. I was near tears the other night watching the fires in Santa Barbara, since P and I have such fond memories of our trips there. Thinking of you guys (and hoping that Froggy doesn't go too stir crazy being trapped in the house!). :)

Ugh. The air in LA is a bit dodgy anyway, and now this...

I remember when we had bad fires in FL several years back and depending on which way the wind blew all the smoke and debris, quite a few cf'ers and lung tx folks would end up in the hospital.

Glad you and Froggy are out of it and, hopefully, things will clear up soon and you can get back home.
